Problem: The internal processes of Pengelly Iron Works for the last six decades have been all paper forms format. Everything concerning a work order is recoded to a work order sheet. The warehouse employees also filled out a job sheet indicating the tasks they have performed for the day and the hours they have done for each task. Over the years, it’s becoming very troublesome to find a work order sheet by its date over cabinets of work order sheets. Pengelly Iron Works finding themselves having a lot of data but not able to utilize it and perform analysis on them.
Solution: We have built an internal system that transforms all their paper forms into electronic forms. The administrative staff can enter all the work orders as they come in. All the data are stored into a customized database, any work order can be found with ease using our built in search panel. We also built an employee time sheet system such that the warehouse employees are able to access their individual time sheet each day through an employee login panel via a touch screen. Each day’s work hours and overtime are automatically calculated. All the tasks performed by a particular employee for a particular work order are all linked together.
